SMSG

This week I was very productive! First I edited my poem and decided to change the title to “once upon a time.” Then I gathered up my painting supplies and sketched out what I wanted to paint. I just finished painting today and I’m very satisfied with the result! Now I’m practicing presenting my poem. Can’t wait to show my project to the class!!!!

As I planned, I bought all my supplies this week and finished writing my poem. I have changed my idea about the birds for the painting and decided to just paint some kind of art to accompany my poem. My poem talks about how the world would be like if our society vanished from the world one day, so I’m guessing my painting would look something like this:

I will be working on my painting this week.

I’ve changed my mind and instead of doing a write-up, I’ve decided to write a poem to go with my painting! I’ve been working on writing my poem this week. The title is “We wonder why.” I’m finishing up the last few touches and next week I’ll be working on my painting.

Show Me Something Good#2

That is briefly what my painting is going to look like, but of course I’m going to add a lot more colour and birds. I’ve been thinking if some ideas to incorporate human society into my painting.  For example, I may have a bird locked in a cage to represent the lack of freedom. I’m going to come up with more ideas next week, and hopefully do a rough sketch of what my painting will look like.

Show me something good #1

I’ve always loved art, so that’s what I decided to do for my project: a painting and a write-up. All artists have different styles and different ways of painting. After doing some research on some of the famous works of art, I’ve decided to combine the top ten styles of painting into one piece of art for my project. The styles I will be using are: Abstract, Surrealism, Conceptual, Pop art, Photorealism, Hyperrealism, Minimalism, Futurism, Impressionism, and Fauvism. I hope to take all the amazing painting techniques that other artists have created and recreate it into one big picture!

Last Giraffe Post

Last week of giraffe project! We got half of our editing done and got all our interviews filmed and ready to go! We’re planning on meeting up this weekend to finish the rest of the editing. On wednesday we filmed our last footage at the library, and yesterday I went to the library and filmed a short time lapse there for the start of our video. Can’t wait to see everyone’s final video!

Giraffe Project

We had a TAG meeting at the library this Wednesday from 3:00-4. Our librarian leader, Lindsey, talked about many things happening next month. On Feb 13th Saturday, we will be choosing books to buy for the library at chapters, and I will film a bit of that to include in our video. Also, for the next three weeks, we will be leaving class early from 1-3 on Wednesdays to go to killarney center to interview seniors for our project. Lindsey and some staffs will provide us some filming equipment that we can use to film our conversations with the elders. It’s time to start working!

Biology Art Project Tuesday 20th

So as you can see, by this class I’ve aleady almost finished the cat skeleton and half of the cat on the right. The background is nice and blended from dark blue to light blue. I also finished painting the branch that the two cats are sitting on, and its colour is from black to brown, so it matches the dark to light effect I’ve been trying to show in my art. The only thing left to do is to finsh the cat on the right, which i’ll do next class.
